Victoria Marie Helean a senior at Riverpooint Academy, born on October 31, 1996. I value many things in my life and am extremely grateful to have a mom and dad who are amazing, and support me in everything I do. I also have 2 brothers. I was lucky enough to attend Washington Business Week which changed my me for the better and made me realize what I really want to do in life. While at this program I got to talk with professionals in the health care industry and learned many life changing things. My life has had up and downs like any, however learning from the bad and hoping the good never ends is what keeps me going! I love to travel however, I have never been out of the u.s. My favorite organ is the heart and I hope to study it in the future.
What drives me~
Cardiac Nursing~ Most say they love the heart, others say its an interesting organ and wish to study it. However for me one person led me to this decision; my Grandma. When going through my first couple years of high school this strong lady was put in the hospital due to a minor stroke. While in the hospital they realized her heart was not functioning correctly. As a family we knew she wasn't living the quality of life that she deserves. One of the nurses was there everyday with her after her shift to just sit and talk to my grandma. She started feeling better went into surgery and had a pace maker put in. Since that day my grandma has been better then ever and I couldn't be more thankful to that nurse. She inspired me to do good in the world, and not for the money not because I love the organ itself, but because your changing and improving peoples lives daily!
Success means many things to many people. Money, glory, and happiness. Well to me success means leaving a mark on individuals, leading by example to not only change lives, but to make an impact on the community worth remembering.
